14 Mar 09 Is This the Same Ana from LabCorp Miami?

My problems with Labcorp started with the Miami service centers. I went through the proper channels to resolve the matter but instead of getting a resolution, I got insults and disrespect from two Miami LabCorp managers. The Miami region manager, Roberto Blanco, lied and even contradicted his own statements on multiple occasions. From my conversations with him, it is obvious that he has no clue as to what customer service and being a manger is about. He just doesn’t get it. But worst than him was the Manager of Patient Services, who’s name was Ana. You can read the full details in my own Labcorp Complaint.

I recently received an email from Jackie about a LabCorp manager by the name of Ana Garcia, who seems to have no LabCorp Miami Managers Power & Controlrespect for others, whether employees or patients. With poor people skills, she continues to drag the company down. When you treat employees with disrespect and try to rule through fear, the good employees will flee LabCorp, leaving the company with the bad employees that are unable to get a job anywhere else. In addition, since in her mind intimidation works for employees, she uses the same methods on patients.  While the email refers to the manager as Ana Garcia, the email did not contain the region or service center affected by her actions. My gut feeling is that it is the same Ana who called me in reference to my complaint. In my case, instead of trying to resolve the matter,  she insulted me, lied and was outright rude and disrespectful. She, along with Bob Blanco, are the reasons this web site exists.  The email clearly shows that she treats the employees as bad as she treats the patients. Her demoralization of employees leads to their poor attitude, and to LabCorp’s lousy customer service. With all those great managers available as a result of the weak economy, why would LabCorp keep these inept managers? Here’s a portion of the email that Jackie sent me.

I know two LabCorp employees, and I have a comment regarding one of their bosses, Ana Garcia (I’m not sure if it is spelled correctly, nor do I really care as she is so rude), and the patients that go to the sight. The two girls that work at this lab are really sweet, they know what they are doing, and they work so well together that the wait time is not very long.

A good amount of the people that go to this sight really look forward to seeing them, and will sometimes bring them gifts for working so hard and treating them with respect.

Another group of people will scream at them if they do not smile every moment they work, if they are asked to hold on a moment while the employees finish one of their current tasks, or because they did not take the time to tell if their insurance is taken there, etc.

There was recently an incident where a pen was thrown with great force at one of the employees because the patient was asked to leave the pen next to the sign in sheet.

As for Ms. Garcia https://p..iagra-generique/. She very disrespectfully addressed the employees this evening over matters she explained were not personal. She told the employees there is no reason they should be late, and there is absolutely no such things as emergencies.  One of the employees had an urgent family emergency where a family member’s electric wheelchair broke down in the middle of U.S. 41 highway and needed to help her, seeing as nobody else would. Because of the emergency the employee was a bit late to work, and was thoroughly screamed at for what Ms. Garcia claimed was very unimportant. If that was your family member, I’m sure you would help them rather than leave them stranded on a highway.

Ms. Garcia also screamed at the workers for not smiling every second of their day and told the employees that her complaints were not personal, but at the same time she called the man who works there ugly to his face, and made another employee cry.

If the bosses of the company were not so rude to their workers, it is possible that the workers would have different attitudes.  Something needs to be done about this Ana Garcia, she should be fired but I’m not sure who to speak to.

As I stated above, the workers at this LabCorp sight try to give their all for you, but the bosses make it really hard for them. Thank you

    I would like to tell people in the Arizona area to not go to the LabCorp center at 7200 W Bell Rd.. I was told to sign in and have a seat. I’d be called back to the window to get insurance info. After waiting one hour and having people go in for their draws that signed in after me I approached the window at which point an employee named Elizabeth, told me she didn’t have time for my crap. She was watching television. I couldn’t believe the unprofessional attitude of this employee. I found out from people in the waiting room that her last name was Gregg, at which point I wrote it down and called the main lab. They too, were very rude to me and tried to tell me it’s the first complaint they’ve had against this rude black woman. I find that hard to believe. I saw people get up and walk out of this site, stating her attitude was ridiculous. I found out from the main lab this woman is the site coordinator for this particular site. What kind of employees does LabCorp have running their sites. Rude, obonoxious, hateful and plain nasty. If it wasn’t for the patients this rude lady wouldn’t have a job. Wake up LabCorp and do something about this rude, obonoxious hateful employee.

    I am in Sun City Arizona and will never get my blood tests done at LabCorp again. The lab on 103rd Ave in Sun City consists of long waits, wrong test results that need to be done over, not taking enough blood and being called back to retake test, even though tubes of blood taken from me were full, billing for tests that are not prescribed and on and on.
    Lucky I have a doc that complained to Medicare and LabCorp had to repay Medicare over $100.00 for gross errors made on billing and testing! Horrible!!!!

    for continued employment purposes, i chose to remain un identified. LabCorp Florida has been a problem for several years, mainly since Danny left the division. They brought in a smuck at the top who put other smucks in charge. His MO was to rule by fear and intimidation. The client was the furthest thing from any of LabCorp employee’s vocabulary. There are so many mistakes being made in the lab that are being covered up and there are a lot of good people being treated with incredible diss respect. It wasn’t just the Bob guy they brought in, it really go’s several layers down and all of the current Mgmt and leaders ( shouldn’t be calling them leaders, more like dictators) have been allowed to get away with it for so long that they have become imune to their poor actions. They brought in a new women to try and “fix” the issues but she hasn’t done anything or gotten rid of any of the real problems and or problem people. Understand, that to get rid of the problem would admitt guilt and Labcorp never admits any guilt. They are arogant, being run by arogant attorneys and they think there shit doesn’t smell….literally. The best way to get back at them as patients and clients is to leave them- refuse to use them and pay out of pocket to go to the competition, anything but actually give them your business. Until everyone stands together and refuses to be treated poorly and demands to be treated like a human, they will never do anything different- why should they- they have been allowed to get away with this type of behavior!

    PHLEBOTOMY DIRECTOR, TERESA GRIST, OF PHOENIX AZ NEEDS TO BE FIRED!!!!!!! EVERYTIME SHE CALLS WE ARE AFRAID TO BE THE ONE ON THE OTHER END FOR FEAR TO BE YELLED AT OR THREATENED TO LOSE OUR JOB. EVERYONE GETS THE JOB DONE OR TRIES TO JUST SO WE DONT HAVE TO HEAR IT FROM HER, WE’VE LOST CARE OR CONCERN FOR THE PATIENT AND DO WHAT WE NEED TO DO FOR ‘CORPORATE’ (TERESA) SO WE DONT LOSE OUR JOBS. WE’RE OVER WORKED AND UNDER PAID. PEOPLE WHO HAVE WALKED OUT NUMEROUS TIMES ARE STILL EMPLOYED, PEOPLE WHO CALL OFF NUMEROUS TIMES ARE STILL EMPLOYED, WHERE IS POLICY HERE? NOTHING WILL EVER BE DONE FOR SHE IS HAVING SEX WITH BRETT SOVEY. I GUESS BIG BOOBS DOES HELP TO BE IN THE HIGHER UP. IF WE CALL FOR A QUESTION ON HOW TO DO SOMETHING, SHE PUTS US ON HOLD OR SCREAMS TO SOMEONE ELSE IN THE OFFICE TO ANSWER IT FOR HER..HOW IS ONE DIRECTOR IF SHE DOESN’T KNOW HOW TO PROPERLY DO TESTS OR ORDERS? O, AND THERE ARE PSTS IN IOPS WHO ARE ENTERING RESULTS FOR DOCTORS INTO THEIR SYSTEM…HELLO! ILLEGAL!! THIS COMPANY ON PHOENIX HAS GONE DOWN THE HOLE BIG TIME.

    Why dont people visit the Lab that is handling their specimens. ITS Horrific what goes on in the Elmhurst Lab . I am a former employee who witnessed Supervisors, Group Leads, and employees pass around parts of a fetus . This was not a part of their job duty , they used some mother’s pain as amusement .
    This is what happened when companies promote dumb asses as leaders.
    Lab Corp is the worst place I ever had to work for. The Supervisor is a wasted , uneducated, controlling,racist, inhumane piece of crap.

    Labcorp does not care about the employees in the field. You have to be Politcally correct or its wrong. They do not stand behind the Team Leads or any other employee for that matter. employees. As far as Dallas, they need to get rid of Windy Bowen. She is very rude and does not remember what she said the day before, and calls you a liar to your face. Should never be a manager that calls an employee a liar. She will stab you in the back when she can. She much be sleeping with the boss also to get by with what she does, which is nothing.

    I have worked in the medical field for 35 years, and have had a pretty good respect for LabCorp until I encouraged my daughter to work for them. At first, she was really happy, quickly moving to the position of supervisor. She worked 14 hours a day while pregnant, and they kept wanting more. After the baby was born, she could no longer put in those long days, and she soon found herself pregnant again ( I know, not the smartest move) anyway, she requested a transfer to be closer to home and was granted another supervisor position in the Jacksonville FL area. However, when she moved and found that she could no longer put in the 14 plus hours they required of her, the put her on their “list”. She requested and was granted a step down from the supervisor position to a site supervisor position to best accommodate her family situation at the time. That is not good enough! They constantly harass her over little nitpicky things. The stress on her and her unborn child in unbearable. I wish I could have a few minutes alone with the CEO of LabCorp to inform him/her just how their company treats their employees. It is a shame that a young girl who used to love her job has been driven to the stress level she must endure on a daily basis just to keep her job. She is trying to hang on until this baby is born, and maybe things will be better when she returns from maternity LOA. (If they dont’ run her off before then). I will say one thing: I used to go to LabCorp for all my laboratory needs, but now days, I tell everyone I know to go to Quest or anywhere but LabCorp.
    And another thing, if the stress of this situation causes my daughter to loose her baby or go into an early labor, you better watch out Beth Mathias and Shelly what ever your name is you will have to endure my wrath!
