HIPAA had brought a new revolution in the healthcare sector and had made significant improvement especially in mishandling of vital healthcare information of individual patient, but still due to lack of proper HIPAA training, there are incidences of losing or disclosing the patient information from doctor, nurse or from any concern person. The HIPAA training helps to better understand the implications of HIPAA legislation and identify critical compliance requirements. It helps to better understand HIPAA’s Administrative Simplification Act as well as how to create a framework for initiating and working towards a blueprint for HIPAA Privacy compliance and understand HIPAA Security Rules And Regulations.

I'm sorry to hear that you were mistreated. When the room is full the main action is to empty it so every one can relax. But I see some don't Follow The Rules ..

I have been to many of the service service in the greater Phoenix, Peoria, and Glendale AZ area for blood work. I have to say a lot of the employees are very rude. Especially a couple I'll name, by name, one of them is a lady named Cindy that works at the 27th AVE site across, from John C. Lincoln Hospital. She was screaming and yelling and had a real attitude problem. Another was an employee and from what I was told the manager of the site at a Bell location on 71st or some say 72nd ave. Her name was Elizabeth. Although she thinks she's the best, she was rude and wouldn't help me preferring to have me sit down while she continued watching a small television set. I waited and waited to be called to give my order to her and my insurance card. When I told her I didn't think she should be watching television while she had a room full of people waiting for blood draws, she told me she didn't have time for my crap. I decided to walk out. I called the main lab and reported the incident and have yet to hear anything about it. I figure that mean LabCorp is all about the almighty dollar and never mind the patients care. They as a corporation are in place to do a service and it sure as the heck isn't watching tv, or screaming at the patients. For shame LabCorp, I plan to go elsewhere and have told everyone I know to do the same. Without the patients you wouldn't have jobs--think about it.

There you go people! Wake up! Labcorp does not care an iota about your PHI--personal health information. If it were not for the people that actually call and let Labcorp know they are getting your results this would have continued. There is no system of checks and balances and that is scary. This isn't what size blouse I wear or what size shoes your kid wears...but that's how they treat it with utter nonchalence and disregard. Believe me I have seen it first hand.
